COMING SOON!

OH, HELLUR

Well, it's only taken me a year and a half-
but-
i'm back!
(kind of)

I'm finally at a point in my life where I have the time & energy to blog/create looks again.
As such, I'm attempting to get back in the (makeup) game, again.
We'll see how it goes...

I got the Alice in Wonderland 'Through the Looking Glass' UD palette several months ago,
as well as some new SYN Cosmetics pigments, and I've been wanting to create something with them.
As such, here's a simple but sparkly holiday look :)

I dub this "Mad Hatter Christmas" since I used several shadows from the
Alice in Wonderland 'Through the Looking Glass' palette :P
Any other pigment used in this look is from SYN Cosmetics!

What I Used:
brow bone- 'Royal Flush'*
crease- 'Gone Mad'*& 'Scene'
highlight- 'Salazen Grum'*& 'Spade'
inner corner- 'Hatter'*
lid- 'Moolah' & 'Zone'

(*= shadow from palette)

"Can I get a Untz-Untz?!"

Well, my summer is officially over halfway over.
:/
Teachers have to be back in less than a month.
BUT, I'm still in summer mani mode,
so I'm keeping those coming.

Today's mani features the happy glitter from CG's Electric Nights collection,
'Can I get a Untz-Untz?" over CG's 'Boho Blues':

'Can I get a Untz-Untz?" has variously sized lime green, purple, neon green, and neon blue glitters.
I didn't really even notice the purple glitter until I swatched it,
and I'm glad they used all of the the 'cool' colors for this glitter.
I actually really liked it over 'Boho Blues', as well.

As with the other glitters from their summer collection,
formula was GREAT, and I didn't have to fish for any glitters a single time.
:D

That's saying something!

My Little Pony makeup series- Pinkie Pie

Today's look in my My Little Pony series is based off of Pinkie Pie:

She's silly, energetic, and somewhat of a goofball :)

Here's the simple yet definitely 'pink' look I created based off of this character:

(in natural light)

(in indoor light)

I used:
UD's Primer Potion
UD's 'Freebird'- inner corners
SYN Cosmetics' 'Audacity'- lid
Sugarpill's 'Dollipop' & Sleek's 'Parma Violet'- crease
UD's 'Noise'- highlight

*FeStIvAl* look

Well, it's that time of year!
Festivals are everywhere you go.
I recently just came back from Bonnaroo,
and the amazing Electric Forest started yesterday.

There are a million & a half things you'll see at festivals,
but all the bright/neon lights/colors are one of the first things I think of aside from the music.
As such, I decided to revisit my Sleek Acid palette & create a fun, festy look!

I used:
UD Primer Potion
Various Sleek Acid palette shadows
Covergirl Line Exact liquid eyeliner
Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara

The blending isn't quite as good as I would have liked,
but it's not too bad.
Either way, to me- it's fun and definitely something reminiscent to me of a festival!
:)

CG's 'Point me to the Party'

I have a lively, happy glitter for ya'll today.
After being at Bonnaroo this past week,
I'm all about some bright/happy/neon/hippie stuff.

Hence, I FINALLY watched 'Point me to the Party' from CG's Electric Nights collection.
I've swatched it over Essie's 'Muchi Muchi':

This reminds me strongly of a neon glitter that Polish Me Silly (previously Lush Lacquer) put out a couple years ago.
Consistency was great, and I actually did NOT have to fish for glitters- which was awesome!
I love it :)

Colourpop Cosmetics- Juicy

Today's post features my final lippie from the several that I bought recently.
I've shown you a matte toffee color & two other pinks.
Today's lippie is also pink, but it's more of a Barbie color than the medium & hot pink ones I've shown you before.

Here's 'Juicy'!

'Juicy' is a hyper gloss, described as "strawberry pink"...
which I again disagree with.
This just screams more of like a stereotypical Barbie-pink to me for some reason?
Regardless, it went on flawlessly, the color is perf, and it DOES look juicy! :P

GG's 'More to Explore'

This is the last polish I have from CG's Spring Roadtrip collection,
and it's a nice Summer polish, too.

Here's 3 coats of 'More to Explore':

'More to Explore' is a bright, peach cream. The formal was 'eh', as was the formula for most of this collection. By the time they released Electric Nights, however, they made up for it.

Regardless, this is a beautiful, happy color that I love wearing on my short, messed up nail :P

Colourpop Cosmetics- Tootsie

I have another lippie for Colourpop Cosmetics for you.
So far, I've shown you guys mattes, satins, and hyper-glosses.
Today, I have another (& my preferred choice) matte for you!

Here's 'Tootsie':

'Tootise' is a "cool-toned grey-beige" in a matte finish.
This, at first, struck me as a Fall/winter shade...
but once I got it on, I could easily see wearing in the summer, too.
I loved it!
These mattes go on like butter and are super easy to apply.
Can't say enough good things about this company!
:)

Too Faced's Rock 'N Roll palette

So I've been seeing this palette from Too Faced pop up various places lately,
and when I saw the vibrant, metallic swatches- I knew I had to have it.
A week, eBay purchase, and $34 later- I got it!

The idea behind the palette was to provide shadows & instructions to create 3 separate looks,
characterized as either Easy (top row), Classic (middle row), & Fashion (bottom row):

Time for swatches!

You can see there are a mix of metallics, satins, 1 matte, and glitters in this palette :)

The larger shadows I would use on the brow bone & inner corners:

Then you have the darker shadows for the lids/crease:

I cannot freaking wait to create some looks with these bad boys.
Have any of you tried this palette?
What are your thoughts?

CG's Electric Nights Summer collection- 'Treble Maker'

Happy Weekend!
It's a nice, long 3-day weekend for tons of people here in the States.
Lots of sunshine, boating, drinking, eating, and general partying is going on :P
As such, I have a bright, party-isn neon for you today.

I have to apologize in advance for my nails.
I had to pack up my classroom for the summer,
and the boxes/moving were not kind to my nails :/

Anyway, here's 2 coats of 'Treble Maker'.

'Treble Maker' is a neon lime/blue-green that is sure to draw attention.
Formula was good; not streaky or thin like CG's Spring collection.
Opacity was good- it only took 2 coats to reach :)

Cocktail Makeup Series- Kiwi Blueberry Mojito

It's that time again!
Now that the warmer weather/summer is basically upon us,
it's time for my annual Cocktail Makeup Series :)

Today's look is based off of this gem that I found on Pinterest:
Kiwi Blueberry Mojito

This bad boy looks DELISH.
(Find the full recipe here!)
These colors are two of my favorite to play with on my eyes,
so I was really excited to create a variation of this for my series.

Here's my look:

I used:
UD's Primer Potion
UD's 'Sabbath' & 'Heroine'- crease
Sugarpill's 'Afterparty' & Sleek's 'Bolt'- highlight
Sleek's 'Powi' & 'Cream Soda'- inner corners
Sleek's 'Pear Drop', 'Mint Cream', & 'Cricket'- lid/lower lash line
Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara
